type + video
Saturday, February 24th, 2007I was browsing around and found these two different videos that focus on type . . . The first (via boingboing) uses type to illustrate an audio clip from Pulp Fiction. The second (from the hillmancurtis web site) actually relates to something I posted a while back — it’s an interview with Paula Sher, discussing her work.
And then I have to post this clip (below), because when I saw it, I thought right away of Sher’s comments (above) about how the computer made her feel like her hands had been cut off because “you don’t type a design — that seems dumb” . . . how the computer for a designer should be a light box that senses motion/gesture. (I like the manipulation of photos that begins about a minute and a half in.)
